PESONA KARIMUN JAWA INDONESIA

Talking about marine tourism in Indonesia, we will quickly mention Bali, Bunaken or Maluku as a tourist destination. And indeed these places have a remarkable nautical charm. However, if the call Publications, perhaps only partially know that Publications also save the beauty of the sea which is really amazing. Publications is an archipelago located in the Java Sea and entered in the district of Jepara, Central Java. This time I will share a story about the beauty of the Publications 2011 when I visited years ago.

Day 1: The crossing of the Port of Jepara My trip to Karimunjawa starts from the Port of Jepara (Kartini Beach) using KMP Muria ferry. Access to Karimunjawa itself is actually drivable through a sea trip from Semarang and Jepara or by air (charter) of Semarang. The journey from Jepara towards karimunjawa with the KMP Muria takes 6 hours, from morning till evening. After arriving at the port of Karimun, I and the group headed to the inn in the form of home stay (in houses) for short rests. Approaching at 6 pm, we headed to the port Sahbandar to enjoy the beauty of the sunset. Looks several ships anchored begin after a day carrying tourists around the islands that surround this karimunjawa. Enjoy the sunset

Day 2: Small Menjangan Island, Geleang Island and Tanjung Gelam second day, the main journey to enjoy the beauty of Publications began. By renting a motor boat, the group headed to the beach Small Menjangan Island. Here we do snorkeling to see underwater scenery. Once satisfied snorkel, proceed towards Geleang Island. Here we enjoy the white sandy beach with sea water so clear, absolutely beautiful. Travel by motor boat (dock, private) island Geleang (doc. Private) island Geleang (doc. Private) Satisfied water play and enjoy the beautiful beach, we then enjoyed lunch with a side dish of grilled fish that is made on the island Geleang is by guides our tour. Mas Supri, guide our party turned out to be an expert cook. According to his testimony, Mas Supri previously worked as a chef of a restaurant before over the profession as a tour guide in Karimun. Really special menus and appetizing meal, let alone eat it on a small island surrounded by the beautiful sea. The journey from the island Geleang then proceed to Tanjung Gelam, a promontory located in the west coast of the island of Karimun. Here the beautiful natural scenery also we have encountered, in the form of crystal clear beaches, white sand and rows of palm trees that grow fast. We also enjoy some food and drinks that are sold in this place, such as fried bananas and coconut ice. Fresh and delicious! Tanjung Gelam  Tanjung Gelam
Day 3: Middle Island, Small Island, Gosong Pasir Putih, Pulau Menjangan Entering the 3rd day, the journey begins with the first objective to Middle Island which is next eastern island of Karimun. Publications from the port to the Middle Island takes about an hour. Middle Island is one of the island which has a complete facility, where there are several resorts that float on the beach, a place to snorkel and also captive sharks. Cried too when we feed the sharks in the pool penangkara. The remnants of lunch in the form of bones and fish heads that we throw, immediately struck by this vicious carnivore-carnivores. Middle Island (doc. Private) Middle Island (doc. Private) Middle Island (doc. Private) After enjoying the beauty of Middle Island, proceed to Small islands are not far away. Small island we snorkel long enough near the pier, sea water incidentally quite quiet at the time. We could see the fish beautifully colorful and beautiful coral reefs. Some people may be reluctant to snorkel at the time, they can sit on the dock or on a boat that was leaning while feeding small fish with bread. Snorkeling in Small Island (doc. Private) The next trip to the island of Menjangan. Routes to Menjangan Island is opposite the direction of our travel time from the morning to the island of Karimun Port Central, or arguably his way home from the Middle Island. On the way to the Great Menjangan Island, we stopped at a sandbar (atoll) named Gosong Pasir Putih. Hirst will only appear when the sea water was receding. We were really amazed to see a land of white sand is pushed emerged from the midst of the sea. Yet the timing set out in the morning, we do not see this land of white sand. Hirst Pasir Putih (doc. Private) scorched the White Sand (doc. Private) From the charred white sand, we went on a trip to Menjangan Besar. Here we see a shark breeding pond and allowed to get into the pool. Really thrilling when standing in a pool with waist-deep water, while some sharks swimming around us. Together sharks
Day 4: Journey Land On the fourth day, we did not travel by boat around from island to island, but simply by traveling overland to visit places on the mainland island of Karimun. The places we visited them are Kampung Bugis, Legon Plow, barracuda beach, mangrove forest. On the island of Karimun there is also a model home (uninhabited) the stilts Bugis and Holy typical home. The second house is a representation of the tribes that inhabit this island, which is Javanese, Bugis and Madura. At noon, we went on a trip to the mangroves. Walk from the entrance gate 'mangrove tracking' and enjoy the lush mangrove trees on foot, approximately fifteen minutes later we get to the end of this forest. We also took time to have lunch in one of the huts that were there. Bugis houses (doc. Private) Mangrove Tracking (doc. Private) In the afternoon, we also had the opportunity to visit the Nirwana Resort who happened at that time were no guests so that we could enjoy the beauty of the sea from the resort. Resort architecture is quite magnificent building mostly made of wood. Relaxing at Home Nirwana Resort (doc. Private) Dusk at Nirwana Resort (doc. Pribai) After enjoying the natural beauty of Karimunjawa for several days earlier, then on the fifth day we rested at the inn and also a walk around the square not far from the inn. The next day (the sixth day), we went back to Jepara to ride back KMP Muria. That's a story I can share when visiting Publications. The beauty of the sea, beaches and underwater scenery is an incredible charm. Some improvements need to be done by the local government to support tourism in this place. For example the number of crossings and ferries that need to be added (currently crossing into karimunjawa only two times a week). Publications can be an alternative place marine tourism in Indonesia besides Bali, Bunaken, Maluku, Papua and NiaS
